This year it’s planned for June 26 & 27, and will include music, speakers and a Doggie Drag Show we think your kids will love. Good to know: Families can participate in the Capitol Hill Pride March & Rally at Cal Anderson too. The park is named in honor of Seattle’s first openly gay legislator, Cal Anderson, who was appointed to the state House in 1987, where he served until he was elected to the state Senate in 1994. If a reflecting pool, funky fountain and a playground with plenty of space to picnic sounds like a perfect afternoon to your family, head to Cal Anderson Park in Cap Hill. The YMCA of Greater Seattle will also be hosting a Drag Queen Storytime with Mercury Poisoning. Families will also find a Rainbow Edition of the library’s popular Learning Together program geared toward tots on June 11. Tune in on June 9 for a virtual event with librarian Amanda.
